Nova Launcher on Honor 8

Just bought my Honor 8 at Best Buy. Found the stock UI a bit restrictive and went with Nova Launcher for true personalization. It's a bit glitchy as it reverts back to the stock launcher on occasion even when I have Nova set as my launcher. Anyone have any tips to improve this?

Check the app permissions on the stock launcher and nova launcher. May need to allow more in nova. I had issues with taking photos in fb comments and it was just a permission problem.

You also have to go here (apps) and actually change the launcher too.

Then default app settings to change it. Ooh sorry, didn't know that there would be a size variation. By the way, in settings, you can start to type what you are searching for.

Also make sure that it is protected, so it doesn't get kicked out of memory

No, that's part of EMUI. Nova has it's own gesture controls with 2 and 3 fingers
