Nova launcher on P20 pro

I have read a large number of reviews that suggest Nova Launcher doesn't work correctly or has numerous bugs when running on the P20 Pro.
I use it myself and haven't experienced a single issue, has anyone here had any problems running Nova?

I am finding it buggy on my mate 10 pro. Tesla unread is a bit hit and miss, the pinch gesture does not work and I am experiencing the odd crash.

Had similar on the blackberry launcher so it may not be entirely nova related.

That sounds strange, tesla works fine and the pinch works fine. Maybe it's been fixed since the review units were sent out as the P20 has a newer build than the mate 10.

I've been using Nova on my P20 Pro and encountered one issue... when I add the date/clock widget... it crashes.

But other than it has been perfect

I had the same issue when trying to add the date/clock widget

If you whitelist the app for data and power usage that should solve the problem. That's been an issue with Huawei/honor phones before.

How would I whitelist the app please.

Settings>wireless & networks>mobile data>data saver>
You will then have a list of apps with toggles to turn on unrestricted data.
Can't remember where the battery whitelist is.

For battery just open the settings app and start typing "battery" into the search box and 'Ignore Battery Optimisation' will pop up. Go into that and click on Allowed at the top then All Apps to choose apps you want to Whitelist

Can't add a weather widget without Nova causing a ”serious crash” that prompts me to uninstall it, even after whitelisting and restarting

Download it from the play store and it should install automatically.

Are you sure it isn't installed and you just haven't set it as the default launcher?
