nova launcher one hot app

So i noticed my phone getting extremely hot almost 180 degrees Fahrenheit so i took each app out one at a time a low and behold it was nova launcher i have been using it for 4 years and i miss it already lol but omg was my phone getting hot does any know of a good launcher that can offer a android vanilla like feel

I use nova launcher and have never had any heat problems with. My phone will generally get warm only when playing games

I like Nova but I ave been running the stock UI lately! I still have Nova Prime installed but I can't seem to let it go! It's just taking up space on my phone...no heat issues that I noticed though??

To add to the chorus, no heat issues with Nova Launcher here either. I just got my G4 on the 3rd though. I got my G3 a little while after the initial release (probably a later production run) as well and have had zero issues with it.

I've been running Nova Prime since I got this phone a few months ago, and used it on every other Android phone I have owned. I have never had issues with it. Did you try simply rebooting before you removed it entirely?

I also use Tesla Unread, FYI.

Sorry for the late response i had to work a double to afford these fancy phones lol Yes i rebooted daily i may have figured it out i was also using screen off and lock so i can use the double tap feature while using nova launcher ao im going to try pre-installing nova and the screen off and lock and see i hope its just that

I would install back all of them. Do that step by step. First Nova, use it for a day, then Tesla and so on. If your phone gets hot again check the battery stats and post the screenshot here.

Nova Prime here, no issues at all.

No issues that I have seen with Nova. Might be a widget causing an issue.

I have a Note 4 with Nova and it does get warm. Just switched to Action Launcher to see how it goes

Maybe it was a different app going wild or some sync/upload process running in the background. Try to check the battery stats if the same thing happens again. Glad you got Nova back
