Nova Launcher Or The New Samsung One UI?

I've always immediately installed and used Nova Launcher in the past but that was when Samsung phones were using that awful Touch Wiz. I suppose I'll give the One UI skin a chance before I consider switching over to Nova.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?

I used to use Nova a long time ago. I stopped when I got the S7E. The theme store is broken or very glitch with OneUI.

I'm not sure I follow your point. What are you trying to say about a "theme store" and how does this relate to whether to use One UI or Nova???

It all depends on which features you value more in a launcher. For me Nova gestures, swipe up actions, backups and Nova Actions & Activities are too important to give Nova up.

I got the Pie update on my S9 Plus a few weeks back and the Nova launcher I was using has been working just fine and dandy.

Mav.

Tried One UI during beta for few weeks but eventually went back to Nova. Nova got more customizations I liked.

But I gotta say, One UI is better than the previous ones.

I use One UI now and really like. Have Nova as well but will probably stay with One UI for now.

hTc Sense and OnePlus Oxygen OS are the two I can use out of the box.

Samsung has greatly improved but it's not there yet.

TBH let me use my Urman and Umbra icon packs like OnePlus and I'm good.

For sure I will try it out for a few days.

Sorry, the main thing that comes to mind when I think about launchers is themeing. TouchWiz on the S7E added a built in theme store. Combine that with the font options and I haven't used a 3rd party Launcher in years.

Can't you really have both? I use Nova on my Note 8, but still have the Samsung features enabled from Goodlock such as One Hand Operation, etc etc.

I guess in other words, I am asking - Am I able to have Nova set as my launcher but also use "some" of the One UI features?

I'm currently on the S8. But I gotta say, the UI on the S10 kinda looks great IMO. I've got my Nova backup ready, but I'm definitely setting up the stock launcher on the S10 after I upgrade.

Of course. I use Nova on my S8, but I rely on Good Lock for customization features.
