Nova Launcher question.

I was curious if anyone that is using Nova Launcher is experiencing lag, or a persistent message telling you to choose between Nova Launcher or Touchwiz after hitting the home button (this is after setting Nova Launcher as my default). This has been happening more often than not. Any suggestions, or is this par for the course when using a secondary launcher?

No, that is not how it should work. I have used Nova Launcher for at least 6 months (or so) and it is WONDERFUL. No lag, no weirdness. works on 4.3 and it worked fine on 4.1.2.

Did you just install it? If so, be sure to set Nova Launcher as "Always", in the Nova Settings. You shouldn't EVER be prompted again for TouchWiz unless you deliberately choose TW as a launcher, and then if/when you go back to Nova, set it to "Always" to avoid being asked which launcher to use.

Agreed, have Nova installed and it's running great, both 4.1.2 and now 4.3. Zero lag and no issues.

I installed some kitkat apks on my 4.1.2 Note2 to get the kitkat version of Google Now, and it did the exact same thing. Any time Google Now was launched, the OS forgot what the default launcher was. So I uninstalled updates to Google Search, and that resolved the issue. Now I have to avoid installing updates to that app, which is sort of a pain.

So.. see if the issue corresponds with launching GN. Not sure what that gets you though, outside of helping Nova troubleshoot the issue.

I am about to be forced to install 4.3 , which I believe will solve my problem.
