November Release (via Matias Duarte)

According to some of the people who were present for the live event in NYC, Matias Duarte did not give an exact date, but mentioned that the Galaxy Nexus was set to be released "in November" when specifically asked about the Verizon version. He apparently had one with him.

Hopefully that will put to rest the nonsense that P3Droid started. Unless the people who saw this event from The Verge were lying, this sounds pretty concrete. Now it's just left to Verizon.

yes, i was there and can confirm that's what he said. he didn't want to give a specific date because he said that was for verizon since it's their network and their phone now. when in november is a completely different question lol

Good to hear, but I'd feel better about it if someone knew his answer to the current "back in testing" status of the LTE version that's making the rounds today. As for P3Droid, I've got a source on some tar. Who's bringing the feathers? lol

second post said he was there as well and specific to verizon, i'm not sure why he would be commenting on the euro release in nyc and when asked about verizon

Just because Samsung thought it doesn't mean it will happen.

I am certain that Verizon has kept Samsung in the loop as far as the release date is concerned.

I don't have any proof though.

I've been there and done that. I have also forced myself to get over it in the past few years. When I visited the local Verizon store yesterday to pay my bill, I even looked at the RAZR they had display. Played with it a bit. The phone is okay, but honestly, didn't really excite me that much. At least to me, it isn't all that much different than the Bionic I have right now.
