I have two months left until I can officially upgrade, not that there is anything I want or any good rumors for that soon, but that is all beside the point. The point is, now that we hopefully have the whole KeyRing/Sense has unexp... problem solved, thanks Ross, and I have my new uncracked digitizer installed the phone wants to go out? it's like I can't win, and I don't want to invest any more money in the thing just to turn around and hand it to my kid in like two months. The story: Tuesday the LCD seemed to stop working, and I hesitated, but caved and ordered a new one. After all the phone took a nasty fall and the LCD was a little damaged. The digitizer on the other hand was crushed. I replaced the digitizer and everything was so-so. The phone would get really hot, the screen would dim as though I was using some type of battery saver mode, and the light sensors at the top of the phone had a clear window. It was so ugly. If you are OEM your sensors are behind a dotted/opiate window. Plus the nit picky in me could see all of the stuff I trapped between the digitizer and the LCD. I fixed that when I repalced the LCD tonight. It's pretty close to OEM. Close. Otherwise nothing big. Then all the Sense stuff, and now this. I started this thread because I couldn't remember what search terms I used to attempt to gain some insight into my blank screen issue. I wanted to just go back and post on their threads but I couldn't find them. Anyway I know there are others out there looking for away to access their blank LCD phones, and I found one that works great. Two things to mention however, you have to have USB Debugging enabled, which if you can't see stuff on your screen may be a problem. The other thing is no root is required. I saw more then a few that required root, but not SDK. Not sure what the deal is but that seemed to be a notable point. Now I don't know if I would have done this had I not needed to access my blank phone, but if you are looking for something to do it's kind of neat. I just don't know any practical use for it since you can already take screen shots independently with the phone. I guess you can take video if you wanted, but the frame rate is really slow. 9 fps? Meanwhile I would like to thank strider196 for your YouTube post. A little dialogue would have been helpful but it worked perfectly like two or three steps and there it was. Thank you. I would also like to thank the developer Jens Riboe. Your app saved me. It is very appreciated. You may have just made it possible for me to keep a little green in my pocket until I can upgrade. At least postpone the expense until I might be better off. I hope this helps someone.
