NOW that we've got official Froyo, NOW we can complain...

Alright guys. Our day has come. We have been blessed with the taste of sweet sweet frozen yogurt. After weeks of random limited beta pushes and frustration from EPE54B users, we can now all hold hands and skip with style and grace.

But what does that REALLY mean? It means we can now complain if something is wrong! But please, if you're going to complain, keep it mature, civil, and discussion-worthy. I don't want you to really use the term "complain" in the literal sense. ;)

And no, I don't mean that we can complain that the trackball didn't magically transform into solid gold or anything like that. I mean that if you find a bug that drastically affects user operations, let everyone know. The G-spot folks need constructive feedback from their users in order to make Android the best product it can be. And as of last night, we can finally voice our opinions of any issues found due to the "it's still in beta" response being made void.

Who wants to share first?

The Gmail app allows selecting text <-- didn't only make my day, it probably made my month lol

After doing a manual update on my ATT N1, my 3G speeds seem to have plummeted. I'm getting terrible speeds. I just ran one and got 12kbps down, 178kbps up, and 532ms latency. Every test I run is slow, and my web browsing is crawling. I'm not sure what's going on. It wasn't blazing fast before Froyo, but it was definitely faster than what it is now.

Anyone else having any ATT 3G issues after updating? This seems odd. Maybe it's just coincidence and there are service issues in my area, but my speeds are terrible after updating. I did the EPE54B to FRF85B.

I'm AT&T in NYC and service at my desk in my office building usually sucks or is non-existent. After doing a manual update to 2.2 my speeds and connection stability have actually increased. Loving 2.2 so far.

Here's one complaint. After updating, all my songs that had artist and album info, now show "unknown artist" and just have song titles. That's kind of odd.

Have to do further testing but it seems like some apps that I've closed will reopen themselves later, which if so, it annoying. Especially if they sent out notifications that I've seen elsewhere (ex. Seesmic, when I've already seen the mention on my desktop and just want twitter closed on my phone).

The Market update all couldn't seem to handle the 37 apps that I needed to update, so I had to force quit a bunch and then cancel some downloads that got stuck and do them individually.

 Now I'm having a hard time even making a phone call. I can't make a call with Google Voice at all and I'm having to try 3-5 times every time I try and make a call without Google Voice before I can get through. Honestly, I'm not sure if this is a Froyo issue or an ATT network issue related to the launch of the iPhone. I'm in the Denver area. I'm really perplexed right now. All I know is my phone is practically unusable at the moment.

I can say that running the FRF50 radio on my T-Mo N1, using AOSP Froyo built from source and the googlebits from FRF85B my N1 is running far better than it ever has before.

Is the radio image in FRF83 different?

Since the update my t-mo 3G has been utter horse crap.

Don't think so. Supposedly the FRF85B radio is different, and should work better for AT&T users, but that;s juts intertube talk.

With the radio from FRF50 I actually get an edge signal, where I haven't seen any data connection for several years lol.

I just updated from ERE26 to FRF85b. Is anyone noticing some strangeness with their photo galleries? One of my folders has about 600 photos in it and when I scroll through them it jumps around, some disappear and then reappear. This didn't happen with Eclair. I'm debating on breaking the folder up into smaller ones, this just seems strange. I can scroll through my folders with a small number of photos without issue.

Oh my god! I thought I was alone! The sound from the other party cuts out after about 30 seconds! This is horrible! My phone is now reduced to a texting and internet device!

My gallery does that too. What a piece of junk it is, not sure what happened compared to the old ones.

My service seems to be better today, and I'm getting reasonably ok (for AT&T) speeds on my 3G connection today. I still can't seem to make calls with Google Voice, but that seems to be par for the course for GV. At least I can make calls without it. Yesterday could have been due to network issues in my area related to iPhone 4 retail release day. Who knows? It's better today though, so I'm giving the OK to Froyo. Now that I have flash, I've become somewhat addicted to kongregate.com, especially Alchemist. :p

Funny sidenote: I did stop by an AT&T store and they said "they were not aware of any service issues" and that service was good. I noticed I had 4 bars in the store and 2 bars in the Chipotle 2 doors down. I asked them if they had one of those microcells in the store and the girl at least admitted that they had one in the back. Hard to troubleshoot service speeds when I walk into the store and all of a sudden it's stellar heh. Pretty misleading to consumers as well. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised, and in all honesty I pretty much knew they were doing that anyway. It's just funny to hear her openly admit it like it was no big thing.

Anyone having terrible battery life since their upgrade? I upgraded yesterday. today I took the phone off the charger and left for work.
In 45 minutes of standby mode I went from 100% to 88%. I didn't use the phone at all during that time. Looking at the battery usage it was akmd using the bulk of the power. as I recall this is the accelerometer driver.

Anyone else seeing a change like this, or maybe this is just a case of another runaway app. Though I rebooted the phone last night before charging.
