Is there a way to tell if some one has blocked my number, without calling them?

As far as I know, no. You likely couldn't tell even if you called them. You could test what happens to someone you block by blocking a number on your device and having that person call you or call from that number. That would at least give you an idea of what happens. Then you could tell what happens from the caller's perspective. It might go straight to VM after one ring or no rings, it might just ring and ring or it might just disconnect.

Used to be back in the day, on Verizon, it would say, the caller you're trying to reach is unavailable. I don't know if all carriers worked the same or if that was a Verizon thing. These days everything is so PC, we can't risk hurting anyone's feelings, it probably would act some kind of normal as so not raise suspicions.

Besides calling is the best way to find out. If you're not, they answer and you get to air out whatever is giving you this feeling, if you are blocked, they don't answer and likely don't even know you ever called. The best way to get an idea what they see and what happens from the caller's perspective is to test it.
