Hey folks,

Im on 801 / Aug 18 on a UK ta1055, l with latest Dialer

Trying to call my home on a local 01 virgin landline number, keeps saying..

Number not recognised... Please try again.. i restarted my phone, didnt help

Yet i can call mobiles fine

Rang ID mobile and account is fine and up-to-date

Anyone else experienced this .

Did you dial the number manually (on the pad) or from a saved contact? If it was from a saved contact, dial it manually. If that works, re-enter it in the contact. (The saved number got corrupted.)

If it doesn't work manually, contact Virgin. If there's nothing wrong with your account provisioning, ask someone else to call the number. If it works, you got me stumped. (And it wouldn't be the first time - I've never claimed to know everything.)

Has it ever happened to me? Not in the 15 years I've been using cellphones.

Thanks for the tips... Your tip gave me an idea.. I changed the number in my 7 plus to the UK international code, so instead of 0191... I changed too +44191, then... I called my dads mobile and he called me back from ”home", then it rang just fine... and started working again...

I have heard of some mobile phones requiring the country code (in my case UK +44), not just area code.

Weird, but fixed... so far :), thanks for the tips
