I am new to Android, (and the Fascinate), but it seems that there is a limit of about 40 apps that you can load. I see 5 screens of apps, but 2 and 1/2 are taken up with preloaded apps and those you can't delete. I know you hear of people with Iphones with over a hundered apps. I am I missing something or is there a hard limit on the number of apps you can install.

The app drawer only has a limit of how much memory your phone has.
For my epic I have used 177mb of 498mb for apps. If you hold the home button, then hit task manager, then go to summary, and under storage look at program. That will tell you how much memory you have and how much you've used out of the total.

Plus, rooting your phone allows you to remove those unwanted apps that are otherwise undeleteable

Just out of curiosity I've thrown apps on multiple pages in the drawer just to see how many I could get before. I believe I got to over 13 and it never stopped me. So basically, as long as you have the memory (im currently using 170mb of 1.55gb) you can have as many apps as you want.

This is a curious question. The apps list, on my phone anyway, grows with the number of apps, i don't ever see empty pages and to get a new page (without filling all pages and then adding another app) I can go in to edit the placement, move an icon onto the new page that appears at the end, and it will become a new page. Where are you seeing a static 5 screens?

That's how I tested mine. You cannot have empty screens but you don't have to fill them all. It just gives you as many as you need. I was just wondering if it would stop me after so many so I put one app on each page to see how many pages it would create. I got bored after getting to 14 or 15 pages seeing how I could surely never use that many. For now...
