October 14 and still no HTC Nexus 9 Event news for tomorrow...

So... There are rumors saying the Nexus 9 will be announced on 10/15/14. It is now 10/14/14 and there isn't even a mention of an event or meeting. Really beginning to doubt the Nexus 9 will be announced tomorrow.

The rumors also say that there will not be an event for the announcement, and that the device and Android L may be announced on Google+. Nothing is official until Google or Moto pull the wraps off the device. We know the release is near based on the increasing number of leaks and reported information.

Didn't read anything about a "non" event announcement but I'll take you word for it. I did, however, see a tweet from Jeff Gordon from HTC showing a cardboard box and his tweet saying "Something amazing, beautiful and highly confidential just arrived." Very intriguing! I'm hoping this is the "non" event announcement precursor!

I agree if Google is going to announce both the Nexus 6 & 9 there would be an event scheduled. Especially for the Nexus 9 tablet that will be sold at Best Buy and other retail outlets since they want it to sell better than the 2013 version. I will guess they are both going to be announced in October but there will be a big event scheduled.

Especially since the Christmas holiday season is approaching. You have to get some hype out there.

Nexus 6 & 9 are going to be announced together with Android 5.0 like Nexus 5 did with Android 4.4.

The Nexus 9, Nexus 6 and Android L is a pretty significant release, and it would have been nice to have a full-blown event, but to be honest, if they felt like they had to polish and clean up any bugs in Android L, then that'd be a better outcome for the end-user.

Yeah I think people forget that last year the nexus 5 had no event and we just had to wait until they said it was ready for sale and go crazy on the site. I don't think there is going to be a big thing about it.
