Odd keyboard issue - strange characters

I've noticed an issue recently whereby on some websites if I have enter email details it keeps changing an 'o' to a '.' And a 'j' to a double 'jj' (Obviously minus the brackets). My keyboard says English UK on the space bar. I think it could be a language issue, but can' t find a solution. One of the sites is Skoda's if this helps, but unless I can enter the right details it won't be able to register me. Has anyone got any ideas please?

That's is odd indeed. I have never heard about this and I myself am not experiencing it either which leads me to believe that it might be a simple Glitch?

Susieee, I'm glad I'm not alone. In fact today wasn't the first time. I noticed it earlier this week too, but got round it then as what I wanted was a predictive text entry, but it was exactly the same character problems.

Same here..it's weird cause it's only when typing an email address. Haven't noticed it with anything else

Mine's done it while composing email. Was fine before so don't know what happened. Annoying as flip. Using Google keyboard and Handwriting for now.

it's an incompatibility of Samsung Keyboard with the last update of Android System Webview. Uninstall the update throught Play Store (and uncheck auto-update of the app!) or Apps manager and it will work fine again. Samsung should update it's keayboard to make it 100% compatible...

Seems Google (was responsible and) has solved the bug, the Beta version of Android System Webview in Play Store (v. 55.0.2883.36) working fine with Samsung Keyboard again. The current version (54.0.2840.68) has the problem.

rodalfa - this all sounds very useful, err....I'm happy to install this beta version to solve the problem, but how do I find it please. I can search and find Android System Webview in the play store, but it is version 54.0.2840.68 not the 55.0.2883.36 version even if I add the word Beta to the search. I'm not that experienced with Android, though improving everyday and would welcome a shunt in the right direction. Many thanks

Inside the webview app in the play store, go down and after the related apps and other apps there is box to participate in the beta program.
