odd number call

I just had an odd number make a call to my cell I missed the call number of 1002. I have several apps and tried a lookup with no results. I did find where several other had commented on getting the same call but answering. The comments ranged from a harassing call to nothing being said to obscene language. I contacted AT& via a chat on their web site to see if there was some issues with this. First thing out of the AT&T rep's mouth was we have a service for $4.99 a month you can block calls. Where is AT&T going ? They do not care about customers or service. I am assuming this number was a hacker of some sort and answering would result in a type of gathering information off my phone. Anyone else get this number?
