odd problem

i havent used the navigation too much since i got the phone but i have used it in the past 3 days twice and both times when i search for a place and hit navigate it says getting directions for... well... ever... until i get sick of watching the progress circle spin so i turn the phone off and back on and it takes a half second for the phone to find the directions and im on my way... it has happened both times now, any ideas?

I find, that for everything to work as expected I have to power cycle my Droid about every 2 days. I've had the same problem as you with the same fix.

Lets hope 2.1 resolves some of these issues.

At least it doesn't take too long to power cycle!

Sounds like defective phones... I've had mine on for about 3 weeks straight and still no issues .

Yea I agree things just time out and dont work as they should. I have to do mine everyday but that is the case.

Something is not right as this is not a largely known issue. Have you tried a factory reset?

Never had this problem, if the factory reset doesn't fix your issue I would go to Verizon.

I would have to agree with the others. I have a bunch of friends with droids as well and none of us have had this issue.
