odd update ARH4 on TMo (unlocked)

My unlocked T-Mobile Note9 just received the N960U1U1ARH4 firmware, kernel built Aug 27, still on the Aug 1 security patch. The previous (initial) OTA update was to N960U1U1ARH2, kernel build Aug 2, also Aug 1 security patch.

I can't find any documentation about what's new in ARH4 compared to ARH2.

I got this too. Same - unlocked/unbranded Note 9 on T-mobile. Was disappointing to see it stay on Aug security patch. Should have gotten September.

Android didn't change, only Linux (the kernel) was recompiled.It looks as if you're currently running 4.9.65 - you were probably running an earlier version with the previous update.

Ok, same one I got a few days ago then. Just a security patch.

The (meager) release notes don't mention any security changes, just "improved stability".

Several users have reported having their phone crash repeatedly (it happened to me but just once), so perhaps that's what was fixed. But I'm just guessing.

Got it on my unlocked ATT. Not sure why not September security update though.
