Odd Wifi Issue

I'm running my Thunderbolt with Bamf Stripped 1.7 currently, however this has happened to me with every Bamf rom I have loaded - Remix 1.7, Remix 1.6.3, Stripped 1.1, and Stripped 1.7. I do not have this problem when running any of the stock roms - original software, MR1, or the new MR2 leak.

My phone will connect to my wireless router just fine. I am broadcasting an SSID and using WEP security. After about 20 or so minutes with the screen off, when I go to check my phone it will still show it is connected to my wireless network, however it will not transfer any data. I get an error. When I turn off the Wifi and turn it back on, it attempts to connect but can't. I also cannot connect to my wireless network with ANY OTHER DEVICES at that time. Laptops will lose connection, other devices will no longer connect. I have to reboot my router to re-establish the wireless network, and then everything will work again.

If I connect to the Wifi again with my phone, after another 15-20 minutes the same thing will happen again. Does anyone have ANY insight into this? Remember, this only occurs on these roms - not with the stock phone. If I am not running these roms and connecting to the Wifi with my phone I have absolutely no issues with my router in any way.

Hope someone can help me out!

You probably have your sleep policy enabled, and I always have a more stable connection when i have the performance box checked. You can find this by going to wi-fi settings-menu-advanced.

You can also try using a different kernel

Sleep is set to never. I'm not sure its because of the performance setting.. This causes an issue within my router that prevents all devices from connecting to my wireless, or something of the sort. It's not just my phone. However I never experience an issue like this unless the phone is conected via Wifi with these roms.

Also, I forgot to mention this was with Imo's 2.5.1 kernel. I reflashed just the rom and I'm using the one it came with and so far it seems okay, it's only been a short amount of time though.

Update: I had no issues while on the stock kernel, but once I went back to 2.5.1 I am experiencing the Wifi problem again. Is this something anyone has heard of with Imo's leankernel?

It's certainly possible. There's a newer version of leanKernel out so you may want to give it a try.

The only reason I'm hesitant to do that is because of the call recorder support in the new version. Supposedly it makes the volume way too loud and a buddy of mine wasn't able to fix it even after flashing the Bamf zip to remove CR support. I went to Adryn's 4.4.7 and so far no issues..
