Odex vs Deodex

So I rooted using a stock rom. I've been over on xda reading alot of things about everything, ugghhh
I looked up a hot spot mod and noticed there was an odex and deodexed version.
So now I had to research what the hell that was all about.
So I was able to see that I'm odexed.
What's better? odexed? Deodexed? How can you go from odexed to DEodexed?
I think deodexed is better based on what I've read.
I'm posting here, because I'm skeered of those guys over on xda. Fancy developers!! lol

So If I'm odexed, and I come across a deoxed rom, I can flash it with twrp, and boom, I'm deodexed? Easy Peasey?
