Is there a ED01 stock with root for ODIN yet? I don't believe I have seen any yet.

stock version

I didn't see a stock version in that thread that was not debloated. I want the bloat (smile). Then I freeze what I don't want with Bloatfreezer. I like to stay as close to stock as possible with my phone but I would like it rooted.

What I am looking for is a stock ED01 that is rooted but I need to do it with ODIN as I don't know how to do it any other way.

If need be I will wait for it.

If you follow the second link (to the roms http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...tock-ed01-rooted-ed01-debloated-debinged.html) you can choose the bloated or debloated version. It's there, just have to keep an eye out. :)

Edit: Sorry that actually takes you to the method to install via cwr. I see that as of right now they only have the debloated available for flashing in odin, I apologize!

There is another thread that looks like that, authored by imnuts that is not debloated. I would find it for you but I'm on the road

I can 100% agree with AC being the best forums.

Agreed. But I meant the AC fascinate forums in particular

Oh yeah completely agreed.

For instance when I get on this site and see if people have questions, 99% of the questions asked are already answered. Also the answers arn't just yes and no, they are full out explaining everything they need to know of what they asked.

I have ed01 rooted!

Thanks everyone for the help in steering me in the right direction to get ED01 stock with root! It was successful. Of course I had to spend a couple of hours getting things back to where I wanted them because it wiped the data but now I am good. Titanium Backup was a big help!

I understand that I don't have the newest modem in this build but I have a feeling that it makes very little difference to me.

Adrynalyne's Foolproof Method and Files

Having spent probably a day trying different versions of the bloated and debloated files on my Samsung Fascinate to get the Froyo 2.2 update (which was not coming my way OTA), this method by Adrynalyne (using his files as posted) on this forum was what finally worked for me:

http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...70-howto-get-ed01-official-froyo-quickly.html

All the others had various issues of one sort or another, with force closes on some programs that I use (e.g., K9 Mail), issues with the SD card, menus, etc. I had almost given up. While I really wanted to use a debloated version, I also needed one that was bulletproof, with absolutely no issues.

The simple three steps outlined in the link above worked flawlessly.

Thanks, Adrynalyne!

This forum is definitely the best place to go for anything Fascinate related. With people like DroidXcon, Adryn, Landshark, Gunnermike, etc. there is literally nothing you can't get help with here. I never would have gotten the guts to mess with my phone had it not been for Droid's all in ones and all the great step by step guides to almost everything! And after downloading the ADK to get adb to help a friend root their DroidX, I now see that the committment to learning this is huge! Thank you all for what you do!
