I wanted to give you all a heads up on the Verizon OEM holster/case fir the fascinate. I have had mine for 4 months using it every day. Well last night as I was taking it off my belt at the end of the day, the belt clip simply broke off in my hand. Thankfully I was gripping the phone itself so that it did not fall to the floor. As the pictures show, one of the struts inside the clip and case joint simply snapped.

I wanted to bring this to you all's attention so that anyone using this case is aware and can inspect theirs. Shortly before this occurred I had noticed that the clip would rotate almost freely, instead of keeping place in one of the seven can't locations. I would check your cases for that or fir a wobbly clip.

I was fortunate this occurred as it did, otherwise my phone could have taken a nasty fall in a case that provides almost no impact protection.

I have attached pics of the broken area as well as one that shows the assembled holster, minus the phone.

I went out and got a basic silicone case to use while my new impact resistent shell case is on order with Amazon. Just a heads up to all, and a sigh of relief that this did not result in the damage of my phone.

Mine did that a couple months ago. There is a small piece of plastic (size of a shirt button) under the clip. On the back side of the button are a couple of tabs that spread out the clasp. If I get the phone caught on something it will unclip, but I have been able to put it back together a few times so far. One of these days it will unclip in the wrong place ... hello, insurance.

Btw, this should probably go in the "Fascinate Accessories" section.

Have the exact same case, and guess what...the EXACT same problem. I wonder if verizon will take it back and trade it for a new one or maybe even a better one.

I am on my second from this same issue. My store took back the busted case/clip and gave me a new one no problem.

Now I have this case. Called a Fishbone Case from Amazon.
