So the OEM charger that came with my V20 says "Fast Charge" on it but does not mention the Quick Charge 3.0 spec
"fas
It does indicate "Travel Charger" and Output 9.0v/1.8A

Its it QC 3.0 or just a regular charger that says "Fast Charge" on it. Seems like it takes longer to charge than my G4 did but it does indicate "Fast Charging" when plugged in.

Reason I ask is I am going to get another charger and I have been looking at both the Anker and Aukey 3.0 chargers on Amazon. In any case I'll also have to buy another USB C cable. If my OEM charger is truly a 3.0 then I will get a QC 3.0 car charger instead...either that or a spare battery.

Thanks for your help.

The phone does make use of QC2.0/3.0 (I have one of each with aftermarket chargers). Whether or not the OEM charger is a non-labeled QC2.0 or 3.0 device, it's functionally the same.

One thing I have noticed that seems to be unique to LG is that they don't give you full charging current with the screen on and are very aggressive with the thermal based throttling of the charge rate. I also came from the G4 and noticed this on both phones, but it's worse with the V20. To get the full charging speeds, turn the screen off and it'll ramp up.

All I know is I get surprisingly fast charging with the included brick and my Aukey QC 2 car charger. Much quicker than my Note7 and much much quicker than my Note 7 V2 lol

I noticed the same thing. Note7 charged fast but the v20 is even faster. Do need to invest in fast cat charger though. Will come in handy while ubering.

Although I agree the V20 is super fast to charge, dont' forget the Note 7 had a bigger battery to charge.
