OEM keyboard problem

Not really sure when this started, but almost every time I hit the comma key it inserts a period and reverts to upper case to start a new sentence. Anyone else notice this? I am on the most recent security update but this started earlier than that.

You've already tried clearing the app cache and data for Google Keyboard in Settings>Apps?

Yes, and it is not consistent either.

Does it happen in Safe Mode?

I have not tried it in safe mode.
