OEM Spare Battery Charger Takes Forever

Does anyone else see this? It seems to take 3+ hours to charge the spare battery in the case using the charger and cable that came with the phone?

My phone charges in a little over an hour but the battery kit takes two to three times that.

Sometimes I notice if I unplug the battery charger and then plug it back in the light goes green and stays green.

I always get OEM spare battery charging kits with every phone.

The V10 battery charged in less than two hours. The Galaxy Note Edge battery charged in about the same time. The Galaxy S4 took about three hours but that charger only had a 500mA current draw and it came with a charger at that rating.

Thoughts anyone? Is there another cable or wall plug anyone else is using and getting better results?

I did not think the LG Battery and Charger from LG was available. Where did you get one.

There's always one available. That's the point of the phone. I got it from Amazon.

I have this too and noticed it takes awhile to charge. Guessing it's because it doesn't have quick charge like the phone. I don't find it a problem though

off Amazon for $13.00. It is listed as a 3.0 quick charge. It is much faster to charge than the OEM charger. I timed it today from 15% to 100%. It took 1 hour and 26 minutes. That was leaving the phone alone while it charged Nether the phone or the charger itself gets warm.

don't think it's defect, mine takes a while too, but why does that matter? you can't discharge your phone faster than you can charge the spare battery.

I tried it once with my most battery draining game, played 10h straight with constant spare battery charging and changing battery as soon as I dropped below 20%. By the time I had to switch battery, it was charged fully for a loooong time.

I stopped buying OEM stuff from both EBay because most of it is fake from China. LG is in Korea. Where does it say its made.

The OEM LG battery charger/case is not Quick Charge so it will charge at the normal rate even if you use a quick charger with it. The QC 3.0 circuitry is part of the phones chipset and not the external charger. That said, when I used the external charger that I got with my original G4, it took just as long to charge so I'd say that is pretty normal for you with the V20 charger as well.

External battery chargers typically don't have the Qualcomm quick charge technology. It's designed so that you just leave it overnight and then you take it off and go. Just like the standard rechargeable batteries on the market.

It's made in China but it's legit. I know what knockoffs look like.

Considering that it's a few seconds to take a picture of the original and send it to the printer, the knockoff can look exactly like the original. (Even SanDisk has problems distinguishing some knockoffs from their own SD cards.)

If you go to the LG website you will see they will be selling them soon. If they do not have them to sell how can those on the eBay market not be knockoffs. Amazon is trying to vet out all the knockoff stuff being sold as oem through their website.

Amazon is having problems with knock offs being sold as OEM. If LG does not have any yet how can Amazon? Chinese knock off products are so wide spread I will only buy directly from the manufacturer.

This is not an accessory that is popular enough for someone to go through the trouble to make an exact replica of everything that comes in the kit.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. The LG V20 charging cradle is Quickcharge 3.0. Even better than the 2.0 charger that came with the phone. If anyone's charger is not charging up fully in 1.5 hrs or so, then they might have fake knock off.
