That's not Huawei, it's flagship phones in general. €215 or so used to be considered an expensive phone. €2,000 if you want a special design? It's whatever the market will bear from now on, and if some people are wiling to pay it, you'll see it.

Nothing is uniquely special about the Porsche Design Mate 20 RS...these are the differences:

Mate 20 Pro comes with glass and metal body

Mate 20 RS comes with leather-wrapped glass back
8GB RAM and 256GB
8GB RAM and 512GB

I think Huawei is massively overcharging for the higher-end versions just to get more internal storage and extra RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is $1,249.00

The Porsche Design Mate 20 RS has a lot of great features but I can easily see this one pushing their customers that want more RAM and internal storage to other companies.

The 8GB RAM with 512GB model from Euro to USD (as of today) is $2,424.00 and that's crazy. I know people would could care less about the Porsche Design stuff, they just want a Huawei with the higher specs without paying out of the noise.
