Hopefully they don't wait a month after the announcement to release the phone like they did with the g5. Considering they're touting it as the first phone to run nougat out of the box, I'm assuming the actual release shouldn't be too far behind.

That's the announcement date. Hopefully the release won't be too far behind though. I believe the new iPhones will be right around the corner from the 6th, so I'm assuming they won't shuffle their feet like they did with the g5.

"Play More" could be implying the phone is going to be more durable than the V10....possibly water resistant? The V10 had those steel rails along the side that helped protect the phone if you dropped it. Maybe they bumped of the durability factor of the V20?

No way they try to leverage mods or friends, whatever they call them. The Moto versions are 10000x better implemented and make the G5 look like a prototype gone wrong.

Play more has to refer to the camera. I'm hoping for the wide angle on front and back.

If I were LG I'd announce the specs & pricing for the V20 now instead of waiting until 9/6. You want to detour people from ordering a Note 7 since that's who you're trying to compete against. They did the same thing last year with the V10. I think it came out in late September/early October and came a month or so after the Note 5 launched.

I'm a Note 4 guy, and love my phone. But I'm either getting the V20 or N7, I'm willing to wait and see. I would had gotten the V10 last year, but that 808 processor wasn't worth it to me.

If Oct is what we are looking at for an actual in my hands then they lost me. I can wait for September not Oct

I think there are a lot of people waiting to see what V20 and the new Nexus bring the table. My gut tells most of the people jumping on the Note 7 are hardcore Samsung customers and wouldn't buy an LG. Even a lot of Note 4 and 5 people are hesitant to jump to the Note 7 and a lot of S7 and S7E don't feel the Note is a jump unless they want the pen.
