I think everyone is experiencing the same issue. For some reason they say they pushed it to kies and they didn't. Everyone's says that our devices are up to date. I plugged my wife's phone in (2.3.4, she didn't update because she did not want battery issues) and it said its not supported. SO we know it has to be 2.3.6 to go to 4.0.3 but its not letting us. Also when I re downloaded kies it says they are doing maintenance on kies on Friday the 22nd from 8 am to 11pm and firmware upgrades will no be available. I feel like if for some reason it comes out it wont be till next week sometime.

I tried my phone today and it just said it was up to date. I'm still running 2.3.4 (rooted), so I don't think you have to be running 2.3.6.

Just read that they pulled it!!! I tried for about 3 hours no dice!! It was a official unofficial release att spokesperson said it will be released soon...... same crap from att... went thru this with the captivate its always right around the corner. Total b****t by the time it comes out the update probably will be out of date anyway. What realy sucks is central puts the story out then att pulls it totaly screws up there credibility!!!you would expect this kind of thing from a bottom tier carrier not the biggest one in north america sometimes i think its being run by complete jackasses!!!

Sad thing is in a way its outdated already its 4.0.3. I hope they release it soon though.

Tried flashing it with Odin; my phone won't take it.Is there something special you had to do to get it to push?

I put the phone to download, kicked the file into the pda window and hit start; and it just hung up.

No damage to the phone (No brick).. Just want to get ICS on my phone and be done.

Mine went through no troubles, first try. Not sure what might of happened on your end but I will tell you this... After a whole day of testing I can say that the build isn't finished, or Samsung really botched this one. I'm not sure how ICS is on the T-mobile variant, but this is BUGGY and LAGGY. Specific bugs? Just normal day to day use will point some of them out. But the lag is horrible. My multi-tasking menu pop-up has such a delay to it. This really isn't the final final release because this phone was buttery smooth on gingerbread and now... not so much.


I might try and factory reset and see if that helps, but I doubt it.

I am on my third day with ics now and it seems to have gotten better.... at first there was alot of lag, buggy and my battery life was really bad but after 2 days of use and 2 full charges the battery actually seems better than 2.3.6

just so you know, the multi-tasking popup also takes awhile to load up on the galaxy nexus, especially if you havent rebooted in awhile

I have been trying to update my SGS2 on my mac for a couple of days. Even tried it 30 minutes ago and it still said the current firmware was the latest. So I went to install kies on my Win7 desktop and i got the ICS notice. Weird....... Had to update my Int. Note on a mac, and had to update my AT&T SGS2 on a pc............ Stinkin Kies!
