OG Pixel Stand wireless charging issue

I have a Pixel 6 Pro and use the OG Pixel Stand to charge every night. The phone charges, but it always says I need to realign my phone even after I realign my phone. Is the OG Pixel Stand not compatible with the Pixel 6 Pro? Do other people have this issue?

I have two original pixel stands one in my office where I dock the phone while I work and another on my night stand that charges overnight. No issues for me always charges fine with or without a case and I have 4 cases I rotate through.

I have it on my OG stand when I use the Otterbox Defender case. Not with any others. To me it seems case dependent.

I tend to lean towards less bulky cases. I have seen that message only when I put the phone super off center but rarely.

I usually do too, but the Otterbox Symmetry (what I used for my 4 XL) is utterly ridiculous for the 6P.

I have two 1st gen Stands, and they both work fine for my 6 Pro (both in portrait and landscape). Does this also happen without a case?

I have the 6P and the original stand on my desk at work and have no issues. I did have that same issue with my Pixel 4XL in September/October, in my case it turned out the wireless charging in the phone was going bad. It quickly went from always saying to realign to just charging wireless at all. Though for me it happened pretty quickly. Hopefully that it not the case with yours.

On a side note, I got the new pixel stand for Christmas which I use at the house. Today was the first day I hooked up my original pixel stand at work and used it and I noticed the battery got warm. Nothing worrisome, just noticeable. Just sure if I got used to it before, just noticed it, or its new.

I didn't start to notice it until recently, so I'm not sure. I did a reboot yesterday and didn't notice the message today. Fingers crossed that it was just confused. I'll try it without a case (the Google case) if it happens again.

The Google branded case doesn't give me an issue. Glad it started working again maybe something wacky happened and the reboot fixed it. GL.

I have been using my OG pixel stand since I got my pixel 3 many moons ago (and moved on since then)…used it with my iPhone X for years with the odd orange light come on. Since I’ve gotten a 13 Pro Max and almost every time I try to charge my phone the orange light comes on, not charging my phone. Pretty annoying, not sure if the stand is done, gotta do more research but I’ve been having issues with it too

The issue came back. Took the Google case and it's not having a problem. Fingers crossed.

It's hit or miss for me whether I get yellow light to realign on OG stand. Put it in another room and grabbed Anker charger works well now. I think it's the size difference makes it an alignment issue with the larger P6P.
