Hello peeps!

Long time reader of Android Central (and iMore, and Crackberry).

Just got a Galaxy S7 not long ago (after jumping ship from my iPhone 6 Plus, and before that a Galaxy S6).

Love the phone. Feels great. No issues and great battery life.

I find myself using a lot of the Microsoft apps on Android as opposed to the Google variants (Groove, Outlook, etc..). Not saying that the Google Apps aren't great, but I find the MS ones are better in my opinion (never thought I'd hear myself saying that haha).

Thought I would do the friendly Canadian thing and say Hi to all you wonderful people :P

Well hello friendly Canadian, welcome to the forums! If you go to the introduce yourself forum you will be welcomed warmly by many nice persons!
Glad you're enjoying the S7, they are superb!

Warm welcome to AndroidCentral OmegaPrime! :D

Great to hear you love your S7, it seems like you switch phones fairly often. Are you considering picking up the S8 or are you happy with your S7 for the next 2 years? :)

A droid a day keeps the Apple away

Welcome, and enjoy your Microsoft Android! :)

It's not so easy to do Google stuff on a Windows phone. :(

Gonna keep the S7 for at least a year.

The only thing I miss from my iPhone is that my S7 doesn't connect to my 2014 cruze through the USB port. My iPhone did and I could control music from it.

Other than that the phone is so much better. And the USB thing is just a minor annoyance lol

I'm thinking it's more GM as opposed to Samsung. Wasn't available in my 2012 Cruze either.

Just need my next car to have something that is Android compatible. :P

Hi there! Welcome to the AC Forums (officially :P)! I do like the S7 (Edge variant... too sexy to resist) and am eagerly awaiting the S8 just to get me by until the next Note comes along. I miss my S-Pen :(

Yeah, unfortunately that's not just a Samsung thing, that's all non-iPhones. Things are changing now with Android Auto, but unless your car audio system has that, chances are the only 'native' USB connection it supports is for iDevices. All other ones are limited to Mass Storage over the USB port (playing MP3 files off of it, like a memory stick, nothing more).

Yeah I'd upgrade the stereo that is Android compatible but my car is two and a half years old.. Almost time for a trade in :P
