Oh oh another update

My Intuition just updated to android version
VS95011B
So far I think it's OK.. Last update killed my device. Hope they did a better job with this one. I really don't see any differences yet.

At least it gave us the option to "remind me later" i am a bit gun shy from the last update that bricked our phones. I think i will wait until mpre people do the update to make sure it doesnt do it again.

Did it? I didn't see...I woke up and my phone was already updating. If I had known I wouldn't have let it update either! I'm still mad from last time and having Verizon send me a refurbished phone!

I got the remind-me-later option at 1 a.m. I clicked it and my phone waited approximately 7 hours before it ran the update for itself. NIce, eh?

At any rate, I haven't noticed any problems after the update. So far, the phone is running great - better than it was before the update. (I had noticed that it was becoming a bit sluggish.) My news widget disappeared during the update, but it was still on the phone. I think they removed the Yahoo news widget that was pre-installed. It had stopped working anyway. My photos, books, contacts, music, etc. are all still in tact.

My email widget prompted me to do manually refresh all of my accounts after the update. I think the keyboard may be a little different now. It also clicks when I type. I haven't figured out how to turn that back off.

I, too, woke up to the phone updating itself, but it seem to take fine. The keyboard is different - to turn off the keyboard sound, go to Language & Input under settings and click the settings button next to LG Keyboard.

I haven't noticed other changes.

Humm. This keyboard has handwriting recognition. Did our old keyboard do that? I have to say that I love that feature. I hate getting use to typing on the new keyboard, but it I love the option to write with my stylus.

I did not see the option to wait later for the update.

I will request Verizon or LG for the version that i had before. The VS950111B crashes the stock browser everytime i open it and try to type in the search box. The phone is now sluggish when it comes to using the keyboard.. No matter which one i use. The internet surfing is slower no matter if i use wifi at home compared to my other devices.


I loved my intuition before because it was smooth to use, now i have to constantly fight it to perform the same tasks it did before. I feel that after this update i am using the Honeycomb 3.0 where everything crashed constantly. I have realized that android upgrades are only for the worst. At least they should let you decide wheater to upgrade or not.
