So after pre ordering not just one but 3 Pixel XL's on October 14th 1 silver and 2 black we still have not received them. This is with both the website and customer service on the phone confirming that the phones would be delivered by October 20th. Received an email the evening of October 19th from Verizon stating that what we ordered was so popular and the ship date is now 11/18/16. Called customer service back and they checked with their core team and said the email was a mistake and my phones are on the list to be sent out. No shipping notice sent by the afternoon of the 20th so call back and they tell me that yes the order is back ordered and I won't be getting phones until the 18th of November. Never have had this happen before any time I've ordered a device and I've purchased plenty of phones before. I don't understand why when we pre ordered the date wasn't pushed out further at that point. Is it because they assumed more inventory of said device before they actually got stock? I know with the iPhone at least they update the dates constantly even from opening night as stock depletes and sometimes ship sooner than expected but I've never been told one date then for that to change after the fact. Very disgusted honestly right now I was curious if any others had this experience as well.
