Ok google from any screen

So today I went to use the ok google, from my
Home screen and nothing happened.

I then went to check the settings inside the google app and the option to turn it ok has completely dissapeared?

Has anybody else experienced this? And is there a fix

Any help is greatly appreciated

App Drawer > Google Settings > Search & Now > Voice > Ok Google Detection

Same exact thing happened to me today. The setting was there and working, and then all of a sudden gone. I think the Google app might have updated yesterday. Wondering if that has anything to do with it. Also, Samsung downloaded a new voice for English, which I suspect could be related. But I can't seem to figure it out.

What carrier do u have?
I'm on AT&T and I have that feature in my settings

It works on my home screen but doesn't work on any other screen it's very frustrating as a big feature like this ha s just dissappear ed

Reading through the forums just realized S Voice supports Wake up command! Amazing. I was always jealous of Moto devices with this feature didn't even know it was supported on this device, very pleased.

As for OK google I also do no have the option for Any Screen, Rogers variant.

Most likely it will be added back in another Google app update. It was there before they did a update earlier this week.

After yelling at my phone like a crazy person for a good while, I finally checked the settings and it looks like the "Ok Google detection from any screen" option is now missing.

S voice is HORRIBLE. It worked maybe twice for me, but it was so slow it was infuriating. Wake up command sometimes works with a massive delay. And the s voice text to speech voice is just creepy.

And re-install? Really? Because I just uninstalled all the google updates (from application manager) and now it's back. I'm thinking I'll just leave it. You re-installed the update, and it still works?
