'Ok Google' no longer working on off-screen

[Android Central Question]

Hey all. I've just updated to UI 4, Version 12 on my Ultra 21 Plus. All of a sudden my 'Ok google' functionality is lost about 60 seconds after the screen goes black/timeout. This is an issue wether the phone is locked or not and 'Ok Google' actually does work for about 60 seconds after the screen initially goes black.

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

Of course: settings are correct to allow unlocking by voice, apps all updated, permissions are set correctly in the Google app, cache partition wiped after update. Everything was fine until I updated and I cannot seem to find any settings which were altered due to the update and causing the issue.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.

See if any updates to google app in play store, if not long press the google app then tap info>go to storage tap>clear data then force stop and recheck.

"Ok Google" on lock screen

Updated to UI 12 and all of a sudden my "Ok Google" does not work on lockscreen. Settings, permissions, and clear caches are all in order. Just curious if I'm alone here?
