OK Google not working-says I'm offline. How do I fix this?

When I try to use OK Google or press the microphone it tells me I'm offline ...I have tried using data and Wi-Fi and it says the same things . I can no longer say things like... email Andy

What device do you have?

How fast is your data network connection?

Could it be timing out due to a slow network?
