What's the difference between setting up OK Google, or setting up Moto Voice?

I'm asking because they both seem to do the same thing. But, I want my phone to unlock when I give it a command (such as good morning), because most of the time I get a response saying the action can't be preformed while the phone is locked.

In settings I can set Ok Google be trusted and unlock the phone, but I don't see that option in Moto Voice.

I believe you have to use Moto voice as it takes I've and Google's voice prompts don't work.

Yep, OK Google won't work with the screen off and not plugged in.

My issue is I can't even do something like "set a timer for 3 minutes" with moto voice if I'm using security to unlock the device. It needs to have the device unlocked just to set a freaking timer.

So there's apparently no way to set moto voice to be a trusted voice.

Have you tried going to Security in settings, clicking on Smart Lock and then using Trusted Voice?

I have not used it but it is there so worth giving it a shot.

I'm going to try that. That seems like it'll work.

OK I tried this, it will not turn on the phone of the phone is screen is off. But it will unlock the screen and do straight to Google. Don't know if that will help.
