ok Google stops working after switching to another user on pixel 3xl

I think it may be a bug, but wanted to confirm with others with a pixel 3. I noticed that I was unable to use "ok Google" voice command from the lock/unlock screen. After I check the voice assistant setting, I could not tongle the on off switch to turn the feature on. This happens when I switch users. If I switch user, and switch back to my main user, ok Google turns off and the only way to turn the switch back on is to restart the phone.

Is this a bug that I need to report to Google? Can others try it on theirs and confirm my findings?

When you switch user, you have changed the Google Assistant account too. That means, its probably not recognizing your voice due to Voice Match? Not sure, but does OK Google work when you switch to your account?

So when I switch to the other is account, I don't have Google voice assistant activated. But, when I switch back to my main account, Google assistant is turned off, even though it was on before I switched accounts and cannot turn it back on unless I restart my phone.

For me, and others that reported this, OK Google stopped working even with single account setup. I think Google app update broke something.

Mine was working consistently last week but now it works regardless of account

I can't still get my google assistant to activate with OK Google hotword. I tried uninstalling Google app, then did update, but still no go. I even tried re-training voice, but no go.
Anyone else having issues with "OK Google".?

I've been having similar, intermittent issues with OK google as well. Restarting does solve it, but it would then stop working after some time. I had thought it had to do with me using Nova launcher and not having the Ok google hot word turned on in nova setting. What launcher as you using?
