Ok got gt-p3113.. no carrier...

I just rooted my tab... No carrier.... A few questions, 1. Is it safe to update the software when asked.... Or is there an upgraded root package like most phones do...2. So I used the xda root update.zip.... And odin...... I have been wondering about gingerbreak on galaxy tab or cm9... For galaxy tab7"...... Lookin cool interface if its out there preferably cm9.... ... Anyways I take suggestions thank you

What I meant about the first question is when rooted is it safe to update the software. Or is there a update root package as well to update... Before I update my gt-p3113
