I had a similar problem. I had to use unrevoked forever to turn S-OFF and it fixed it. If you don't have a working recovery I can tell you how to get around that too.

DUDE i need you help asap on this my friends phone will not load up the recovery from vol dwn n power, also will not load phone please help asap thank you guy simple easy steps if possable
