Okay to use Nexus 10 charger to charge Nexus 7?

Is it okay to use my Nexus 10 charges to charge my Nexus 7 (2013)? It seems to work well, but I just want to make sure because I don't want it to get damaged. Thanks in advance.

From my basic understanding of charging cables, if it's micro usb it should be fine because it can't go above 5v, which is the important part? Could another member confirm or deny this?

It's absolutely fine to use any micro USB charger and cable with any device. The worst possible outcome is slow charging if the charger + cable combo doesn't put out enough power.
