Old battery charges; the new one not... Why?

A

AC Question

Why the old battery of my phone charges and the new one not, and this new battery has been tested on other devices and it's ok. Why?
I've already done an intensive cleaning at the mini usb door...

Welcome to Android Central.

The fact that the battery works in a phone, doesn't mean that it will charge. Or do you mean that it will charge when in another phone?

If the old battery charges in your phone, it's not the phone. If the new battery charges in other phones, it's not the battery.

This is one of those "I have to have the phone in my hands, and it's going to take a long time" repair jobs. I'd just try a battery from one of the other phones (I'm assuming they're all the same model - if they aren't, none of this entire thread makes any difference) - if it charges, ask for a replacement of the new battery. (If not, we're back to "it's a strange problem".)
