I have this really weird phenomenon where on one of my j7 phones, when dropped, it straight up force reboots or shutdown immediately
It is water damage, but was kept in a jar full of silica for more or less than a year. It could be corrosion but I doubt it. Can anyone help?

If there's been water exposure, all bets are off, especially if it was anything besides pure distilled water. It's possible that some mineral deposits or corrosion developed that's causing a loose connection somewhere (like with the battery), and dropping it causes a brief but significant loss of power.

Ok well I don't want to take it apart and find out the cause.
