Old S Note (action memo) on Note 9

Hey all. I've installed the old S Note apk on my note 9 and the action memo shortcut the way I had previously on the 7 and 8, since it has more functionality than the newer Samsung Notes. However, I'm running into an issue with the action memo this time around. Instead of easily "pinning" the active action memo on the home screen when exiting it without saving/deleting, it disappears once I change screens or open an app, and it locks up s note until I force close it. Like there's a notification up top that says "s note action memo running" but there's no way to access it, or create a new one until force closing it. Everything else works well, but I really like that feature of keeping an active action memo pinned on home screen. For those who continue to use the old S Note like myself, have you run into this yet or have a suggestion for a fix? Thanks?
