old sim versus new sim card with note 20 ultra

should I use my samsung sim card or the new 1 that came with my samsung note20 ultra. I wondering if it matters

If you old device wasn't 5g then use the new Sim.

I like to activate new sim card , especially some carriers need new one take advantage of 5g , but if yours is old then change it.
