Old text messages being hidden/deleted automatically??

Has anyone had any luck retrieving message that seem to have been deleted? I just went to my messaging settings, and unchecked the box that said to delete messages when limit is reached, but I guess that was the default setting, so it is only showing me messages since April. I really need to find some texts from prior to that. Are they saved anywhere?? feel free to email me at barrikim at optonline dot net if anyone has a suggestion.

I found and changed the setting but it's still deleting my old text messages every couple of months! How can I get it to stop doing that??

Verizon Message + will save all your texts to the cloud.
You can always take a screenshot of an important text.

Saving old texts has pulled my rear out of the fire on a number of occasions where I could prove I told someone something or that they told me something. Just "saved" myself $$$ on a refinancing deal last week because I was able to pull up an old text message

I just saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to no insurance

Hey, was having this problem too. You have to go into you messages there should be 3 dots at the top where the search is. Click on the settings then go to more settings. You should see a thing that says delete old messages click on that and turn it off.
