Old text showing up on screen

Hello,

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S4. I receive a notification when I get a new text message, but when I hit the Home button to look at the screen, it shows me an old message, not the most recent one. Can someone help with this?

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Apps>All (or the App Manager), and find the stock Messaging app (sorry, I'm not sure exactly what it's called in Samsung devices). Tap it, and tap Clear Cache. Then see if the problem keeps occurring.
