Did the m8 come with this? It seems that now the screen is showing it's share of fingerprints after a few weeks of ownership....

And if there a spray (no silly films) that won't make the screen all greasy looking or am I better off just carrying a microfiber cloth with me all the time?

Thanks in advance.

My screen doesn't get smudged too easily, usually only when eating pizza. If I have to clean the screen I use eye glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.

You can put a smudge resistant seree protector on it. I have one on my Note 3 and I don't have to clean it all the time.

Sent from thr Note 3...and yeah, its spectacular.

Any spray coating is eventually going to wear off, basically it comes down to keeping your hands clean and non-greasy whenever possible. On a side note am I the only one here who just uses their shirt to clean off the occasional fingerprint?

I only use a micro fiber cloth on mines.

Thanks for the replies. I may just stick to the microfiber cloth.

But did the m8 have that coating or is it just a few iPhone thing?

For whatever reason, the M8 holds far fewer fingerprints and face/hair grease than any other phone I've used. I really never have to wipe it off because any previous oils get wiped off as I'm swiping, etc.

I don't want to speak for all phones and sound ignorant, but I think its safe to say that most modern smart phones come with some sort of oleophobic coating. Some better than others. So far I think the smudges on the m8 are very minimal.

With alcohol you wipe the coating off.
