So much for my excitement in owning my new s9. I just found out that it costs over $300 to replace a cracked screen! I am afraid to leave the house with the damn thing! If I had known that, not sure I would have even bought it!!!!

Any recommendations for the best screen protection for this device? I keep hearing all protectors tend to lift off the curved edges...ugh! Maybe I should be going for an iPhone! Even those are cheaper to replace!!!!:'(

Thanks,
Cat

I never use a screen protector, I do use a very protective case however. Never cracked or scratched a screen and I am rough on my phones

Well, do you have the s9? I am freaking out! Not having a screen protector just seems too risky for my "type A" personality! :D

A screen protector will mess with the sensitivity of the touch screen. I don't use one myself.

Whitestone dome , I use them because full glue and for curved screens

How do these work with all types of cases? Can you use any kind of case, no interference? No popping off at the curved edges? No issues with affecting the screen sensitivity?

I have the s9. If it gives you piece of mind then go for it but there are many complaints about them because of the curved screen

A+ but no to using screen protector. A case with raised rubber edges for protection though.

I think I will do both....way too paranoid! But I think I found a slim but still very protective case with the MOUS case....can't wait to receive it! Screen protector included ;)

No sensibility issue , I have no issues with the Case I use because the protector is slightly smaller then screen and it's fully glue

I'm pretty careful with my phones and usually just have a case with no screen protection. I've come to s9 from iphone6 so do you think I'm safe going the same with s9? I like to retain beauty of original screen but main concern is taking it in and out of jeans pocket, safe from scratching do you think? Obvs nothing else ever goes in that pocket

Purchase the Spigen Galaxy S9 Case Reventon. The best case and screen protector I have bought (tempered glass). Bar none!

Honestly, unless you have amazing insurance on the phone or lots of money to burn, I would DEFINITELY get a screen protector on it! Samsung screens are the most expensive to replace when cracked...$300+ for the s9!

I ended up going with the MOUS case and their screen protector. These guys are amazing! Check out Trusted Reviews (good review site). Their products get the best ratings. My case and screen protector will arrive today and they have already replied to many inquiries I had about their cases, etc. Top notch customer service. Not just a "sell them and move on" kind of company. Plus, their videos of total abuse of iPhones in their cases are a blast to watch! :D

This is the case I got (comes with their screen protector that they say, after much testing, is stronger and more shock absorbent than the tempered glass and will NOT peel off the curved edges of the s9, as many screen protectors will):

White dome! I have the S9 plus and tried several screen protectors and wasn't thrilled with any of them and then I broke down and paid the price for a white dome. Don't think I'd ever go back to a flimsy one again. Love the White Dome! I also use a Mous case (marble) and there is no interference what so ever between case and glass. I've dropped my phone a few times and not even a scratch!

Seriously????? Ok, I'm sold, especially if it works with my MOUS case which I will NEVER give up...too gorgeous!

Question - did you get the screen protector from White Dome or on Amazon? Does it matter?

Also, I was just on the MOUS site...did not see the marble one you referenced. Is it an older model? I got the shell one for my s9.

Anecdotal, and not experienced by most users.
The Dome is good. Zagg finally has a full adhesive one. The ones from Amazon are hit or miss, but the one I have now is 3 months going for a ten dollar 3 pack. Don't worry, shop for your accessories on line. I sometimes use a folio case if I'm worried where I'll be using the phone. Stay away from the case/protector all in one types. They do have poor touch sensitivity and do not lay flat.
