On a Whatsapp call, why do I hear beeping down the line?

on a whats app call and i hear beeping down the line?

i was on a whats app call last night and out of no where i get a double beep in my ear a bit like when you have been put on hold. I cant hear the person on the other end and then they come back on the call. Is this because someone is ringing the other person i am on the call too?

Possibly. I would check the Whatsapp FAQ to be sure as I am not sure if they support call waiting.
