On Android 11 Go, can't download non-Play Store app

I have a QLink Scepter 8 tablet running Android 11 Go. I'm trying to download an app from the F-droid site. All I get is a "Download failed" message. How do I fix it? What settings do I need to modify?

Hi there. many Android Go devices do limit what apps can be used as this is a slimmed down version of a droid for low powered devices.
