ON Android 6.0 and up: Do we still need security App's like: AVG , AMC , etc ..?

Not really, these apps don't have root access so are superficial at best. Don't sideload apps and never open links if you don't know what they are. Also never respond to any popups that give you dire warnings that your phone will self destruct if you don't use their app immediately... Android have their own security measures installed..
