Asus Zenfone 5 - 8GB - (updated to Android KitKat 4.4.1) 'Screen Of Death' 'Blank Screen'
Last night my friend connected his Asus Zenfone 5 to his PC but he had some problem connecting it. So, he used an OTG cable to connect his pendrive. But that too didn't work. So pulled the OTG cable out and locked the screen manually. After a while when he tried to unlock it, he couldn't. The screen was dead blank and did not respond. Even the backlight for the home button didn't glow. When he tried calling the number, it was not reachable. I surfed in the internet about this, and i read about Sleep Of Death(SoD). But to fix that problem they said to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. I tried that too. Nothing happened. Zenfone 5 has an in-built battery, so i cannot pull the battery out to make sure the device is off. I don't even know if the phone is still on or off. He updated 'ASUS Call Screen', 'Skype' and 'Camera' from Google play officially, the previous day. What should we do?
